A butt lift in Phoenix (gluteoplasty) is a procedure where excess skin and fat are removed through surgical excision and liposuction to improve the appearance of the buttocks. The skin is lifted and tightened over the buttocks, resulting in a derrière that appears much less saggy, wrinkled, or dimpled. (A butt lift is not to be confused with a Brazilian butt lift, which is a different procedure which incorporates fat transfer.)
A butt lift is typically done under general anesthesia, and is an outpatient procedure. There are multiple techniques for a butt lift, and the precise one that is best for you and your specific needs will be discussed during your initial consultation with us. However, in general, an incision will be carefully made at the top of the buttocks, in the hips, waist, groin, or under the cheeks of the buttocks to remove excess skin and tighten the skin. The incisions will then be sutured and closed in layers. Liposuction is often used in a butt lift as well. Once the procedure is complete, surgical dressings will be applied and you will be given a compression garment to help with swelling and recovery.
