Why
Moles Matter?
Why Moles Matter?
Moles are extremely common and usually harmless—but some may be early signs of skin cancer. That’s why it’s important to monitor changes in color, size, shape, or texture, and to see a dermatologist for any mole that itches, bleeds, or changes appearance.
How Mole Removal Works
If a mole appears suspicious or you’d simply like it removed for comfort or cosmetic reasons, we offer two main procedures:

Surgical Excision
The mole is cut out along with a small margin of surrounding skin.

Surgical Shave
A precise blade gently removes the mole from the skin’s surface
Both are done in-office under local anesthesia, with minimal recovery time.
⚠️ Never try to remove a mole yourself. DIY methods can lead to infection, scarring, or delay the diagnosis of skin cancer.
When To See
A Dermatologist?
You should have a mole checked if it:
- Has changed in color, shape, or size
- Is asymmetrical or has uneven borders
- Itches, bleeds, or becomes painful
- Looks different from your other moles (“ugly duckling” sign)
